Welcome to the ITS
web page for AU students and prospective students.
The
Student Information link above contains
information about what type of computer you should bring to campus, ethernet versus modem connections, supported operating systems,
computing services offered to AU students and how to get help with
computer hardware problems.
AU has several public machines available for
student and/or faculty use. For information about
computing labs, hours of
operation,
supplies available for purchase and prices, click here.
See our Tutorial section if you are interested in learning how to
subscribing or unsubscribing to student classifieds, to set up a folders
in Groupwise and automatically have incoming mail move into a specific
folder, to install and
configure McAfee to automatically update and scan
your hard drive or to
FTP from anywhere to your network drive.
The Download link provides easy web access to
software available for student use. ITS encourages all students
to have anti-virus software running on their machine. New
viruses come out daily so you will want to make sure your anti-virus
program updates at least weekly. McAfee is not currently
available for download as this is a copyrighted program which has been
purchased by AU for your use. If you do not have an anti-virus
software on your machine, you can pick up an install CD from the
Decker Labs which contains the McAfee software as well as other free
software available to students.
