At
Anderson University, we provide a 100 Megabits (Mbits) switched
connection for every student in student on-campus housing (a
port-per-pillow). We have two core routers that act as the
foundational backbone for the campus network. The 2 Gigabits (Gbits)
fiber pipe between these routers completes the backbone. Each building
connects to one of the two core routers via a fiber-optic link at
speeds up to 1 Gbit. In addition, this infrastructure supports all
Faculty and Staff offices, Computing Labs, and a portion of the
classrooms.
We have 6 Mbits of
connectivity to the internet. Bandwidth shaping is provided to
maximize the available bandwidth for high priority applications.
The Anderson University
campus infrastructure is illustrated in the Topology Diagram.
Internet Traffic on our four T1 lines provide visual information of
peak and slow Internet traffic times. The charts are updated
every five minutes.
